WEB 2.0/LIB 2.0 workshop
Participant following keenly on the Lectures during the workshop.
Technology is changing almost on a daily basis. Technology used in Libraries is no exception. Tanzania Library & Information Association (TLA) organized the above workshop, the first one of its kind in Tanzania to its members between June 15th to 17th 2011 in Dodoma, Tanzania. This was meant to create awareness and also to introduce these emerging technologies to Tanzanian Librarians.
COURSE CONTENT
All Tanzanian Librarians who attended and those who were unable to participate will find a chance to share in discussions and postings that this blog will provide. Through this media the Librarians and other information professionals can scale the heights of modern Library service provision and at the same time respositioning themselves for the ever changing technology.

- The content of the workshop included the following:
o The use of Web 2.0 /Library 2.0 tools to enhance library services
o Using web 2.0 tools to market and promote library services
o Integration of Library 2.0 applications into the library’s programs
o How to make the library’s space (virtual and physical) more interactive,
collaborative and driven by user needs
